Video: Longtime Firefighter Laid to Rest in West Point

WEST POINT, Miss. – (WCBI) Family, community members, and emergency personnel from around the Golden Triangle filled the sanctuary of Calvary Baptist Church in West Point Friday.

They gathered to remember former West Point Fire Chief Johnny Littlefield, who passed away Wednesday after battling health issues.

Littlefield was remembered as a dedicated firefighter and a strong presence in with local emergency responders.

Johnny Littlefield spent 38 years with the West Point Fire Department, serving as chief since 2001. He had planned to retire at the end of the year. Littlefield was also a former director of Clay County’s Emergency Management Agency.

He was 61 years old.
