Tupelo Police Make Bomb Threat, Burglary Arrest

TUPELO, Miss. (Press Release) — The Tupelo Police Department has arrested a 14-year-old juvenile for making bomb threats.

The threats were received by the Tupelo Middle School on 02-09-15 and 02-10-15.

An investigation into the calls led to the arrest of the student.

The case will be presented to the Lee County Youth Court.

In an unrelated case, Tupelo Police arrested Shirley Turner Feb. 11 in

connection with a recent home burglary.

Residents in the area of the home burglary witnessed the crime and were able to describe the suspect and vehicle she was in.

Lee County Justice Court Chuck Hopkins set Turner’s bond at $15,000.
