Video: Saltillo Schools Honor Veterans

SALTILLO, Miss. (WCBI) — Saltillo High School (SHS) held two events today to honor veterans.

Saltillo Elementary also held an event this morning, and District Attorney Trent Kelly spoke to students about veterans, and honored them for their hard work.

Another event was hosted by SHS this afternoon, and each veteran who attended was recognized.

“We have a great community here very supportive of the school system,” Saltillo High School Principal Tim Devaugn said. “We just feel like it’s a little bit of something we can give back to these veterans. We know that they’ve sacrificed a lot for us. There is no way we can truly repay them, but we hope that this small token of appreciation that we can show them today to honor them on this great day.”
