STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)-What is Oobleck? Some 3rd graders spent the afternoon learning all about Oobleck and what it actually is…

Jennifer Platt’s third grade class at Ward Stewart Elementary School celebrated Dr. Seuss’ birthday last week and continued that celebration today in learning about Dr. Seuss’ creation Oobleck.

Is it liquid or solid? Oobleck gets its name from Dr. Seuss’ book Bartholomew and the Oobleck a gooey green substance.

Jennifer Platt says,”It’s a different way learning it’s also helping them connect to the things that we are. Learning in one subject area to another shows them how important it is in real life . Getting them hands-on with anything helps them learn so much better.”

In the book Oobleck fell from the sky and wreaked havoc in the kingdom.
