Near Record Warmth with Plenty of Showers

TODAY: Temperature are heading for the upper 70s with a few of us reaching 80 today.  We’ll keep mostly cloudy skies but there is still a chance for a spot shower in a few places.  Watch for gusty south winds 10-20 mph through the day.

TONIGHT: Muggier and milder weather hangs on as mostly cloudy skies persist.  Lows will only drop to near 60°.  South winds 5-10 mph will continue.

TUESDAY: Another warm day will have most of us heading for the low 80s, and several records could be broken. Otherwise, clouds will remain in place, but we may see a few peaks of sunshine. A stray shower or two may develop as well as south winds continue at 10-20 mph.

WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY: Another frontal boundary will move into the region late Tuesday night, and will bring with it plenty more rain.  There is an outside chance that we will see a stronger storm or two in the area, but the biggest concern as of now appears to be the heavy rain. Temperatures behind the front will be cooler, but will still be in the low 70s which is reminiscent of early May.

FRIDAY-SUNDAY: We warm up once again going into the later part of the week and temperatures climb back into the mid 70s.  Another weather system will approach over the weekend bringing with it more showers and perhaps thunderstorms.  We’ll be watching.
