Some Clouds and Even Showers on Easter

EASTER SUNDAY:  We’ll have a split forecast in the region.  The Golden Triangle will see plenty of sunshine with highs in the upper 70s and low 80s.  In the Tupelo area, expect some clouds to move in.  It may be mostly cloudy as far south as US-278 for most of the day.  A few stray showers are also possible in the area, with the best chance along the Tennessee border, but most of the day stays dry.  In West Alabama, expect the mid 70s with a mix of sun and clouds.  Winds will be out of the south at 5-10 mph.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Temperatures fall into the mid to upper 50s.  We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds.  An isolated shower can’t be ruled out to the north, but again most stay dry.

MONDAY:  We’ll start the day with perhaps a shower or two, but again most stay dry.  The pesky front will lift back to the north and clear us out with south winds.  Highs will be heading for the upper 70s and even low 80s with plenty of sunshine.

TUESDAY: Look for highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s along with southerly winds.  Showers are and storms are possible during the afternoon, evening, and overnight hours going into Wednesday morning.  Some of the storms could be on the strong side so we’ll be sure to keep you updated as time goes by.
