Summer is back and will stick around into Memorial Day

SUMMARY: Summer is making a big comeback as the warm & humid air from the Gulf of Mexico moves back in. The return of the summer weather will also help bring scattered on & off again rain & pop-up storm chances for the long Memorial Day holiday weekend. This pattern will likely stick around into next week.

FRIDAY: A warm front is lifting to our north this Friday morning. It will be partly sunny, warm and more humid. We’ll also have a chance of scattered showers and storms. Highs in the mid to upper 80s. Winds S 10-20 mph.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy and mild with overnight lows in the 60s. Could see some early morning showers.

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND: Partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies. A daily chance of scattered rain and storms in the afternoon thanks to the peak heating of the day. Not looking to be a complete washout, but have a back up plan for your outdoor plans just in case. Highs in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees. No widespread severe weather is expected but any storm this time of year may produce gusty breezes, frequent lightning, small hail, and heavy downpours.

TUESDAY-THURSDAY: Still warm & above average with highs in the mid 80s. We’ll continue being in our summer time pattern of a mix of sun and clouds with chances for a few afternoon scattered showers & storms.
