155th ABCT takes lead role in Kuwait

Col. Chad Chalfont, commander of the Iron Brigade, has relinquished responsibility and passed it to Col. Doug Ferguson.

Now, we send these men and women off with our thoughts and prayers they serve our country proudly and make it home safely.

The 155th will next head to Fort Irwin, California before eventually landing in Kuwait.
The soldiers will spend a few weeks at Fort Bliss Texas, then on to Fort Irwin California before heading to Kuwait.
The National Guard Armory was filled with emotion, hugs, tears, and smiles.
For these soldiers, this will be the last time they see home for over a year.
Thanks to modern technology such as FaceTime and Skype, troops will be able to have better contact with loved ones while in Kuwait, making the separation a little bit easier.
The 155th Armored Brigade will be in the Middle East for 9 months.
The unit has previously been deployed two other times to the Middle East since 2001.
