Another Dry Day Today; Rain Begins Tomorrow.

TODAY: Patchy dense fog in the morning, then mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 50s and perhaps a few low 60s. Overnight lows in the 30s under partly cloudy skies.

WED/THU/FRI: An upper level trough deepens into an upper level low and and moves through our area through the second half of the work week. This will bring more rain to the region. Showers begin to enter from the west on Wednesday afternoon and evening, and continue overnight. A surface low moves northwest of our region Thursday, and may lead to a few thunderstorms mixing in with the rain showers Thursday. The upper level low and subsequent surface features will be moving northeast of us by Friday, but a few showers will be possible Friday morning. A few wet snowflakes will be possible Friday morning as well as cold air moves in to catch the back edge of the moisture, but for now there doesn’t appear to be a significant wintry weather threat. Highs in the upper 50s Wednesday and Thursday, with highs in the 40s Friday. Overnight lows in the upper 40s Wednesday night, upper 30s Thursday night, and low 30s Friday night.

SAT/SUN/MON: Dry and mostly sunny Saturday as upper level ridging and a surface high move in. Highs in the mid 50s. A weak trough Sunday into Monday to our north may provide just enough of a disturbance to trigger a few showers here. For now, those rain chances will remain pretty low. Highs remain in the mid to upper 50s heading into next week, with lows in the upper 30s.
