Numerous counties across the State of Mississippi are currently under a burn ban. Officials urge extreme caution with any sort of open flame during the coming days with continued dry weather.  The high fire danger is the result of drought conditions that have been developing during the last few months. The Mississippi Forestry Commission has an updated list of counties under the burn ban here:
