Chilly Friday, nice weekend

SUMMARY: Breezy and cooler weather can be anticipated for Friday but the weekend will be pretty nice. Another blast of cold air is expected late Monday through Wednesday. Additional showers are possible as the cold air moves in.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Partly to mostly cloudy, breezy, and colder. Lows in the 30s. Wind chill values by sunrise may be in the mid 20s. Northerly winds 10-20 mph.

FRIDAY: Breezy and cooler with highs in the upper 40s to lower 50s. Early day wind chills in the 20s are expected. Skies will become mostly sunny during the afternoon. The wind is going to relax going into the evening but plan on temperatures cooling into the 30s for high school football.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Clear and cold. Lows in the mid to upper 20s.  If you haven’t had a night in the 20s yet then this will be the night. Cover any tender plants or bring them inside.

 

WEEKEND: Sunny to mostly sunny skies. Highs should be mainly in the mid to upper 50s Saturday with mid 60s returning Sunday.

NEXT WEEK: Monday will start off mild but a strong front will move through going into the evening. Some rain is possible with the front but the big story will end up being the chilly air behind it. Tuesday and Wednesday look to be quite chilly for this time of year with highs in the 30s and 40s. Overnight lows could dip into the low 20s Tuesday night. Temperatures should moderate by Thursday and Friday as high pressure and sunshine return.
