Chilly and Wet Weather Continue.

TODAY: Patchy drizzle and light showers this morning, then an isolated area of drizzle possible in the afternoon. Temperatures remain fairly steady today in the low 40s. North winds at 10-20 mph gusting to 25 mph. Mainly dry and cloudy overnight, with lows in the low 30s. Some areas could drop below freezing.

WEDNESDAY: Another chilly day and the best chance for rain over the next 7 days. Light drizzle begins in the early morning. There’s a slight chance that if temps drop below freezing, some isolated freezing drizzle could develop in the early morning. This would be unlikely to cause major travel impacts, but it will be worth tuning in to Sunrise tomorrow morning before you hit the roads to ensure things are running smoothly. Highs in the low 40s, with scattered showers throughout the day. Overnight into early Thursday morning, a few showers remain, and a light changeover to a wintry mix or freezing drizzle isn’t totally out of the question along the Mississippi/Tennessee border. If we get a changeover, and that’s still a big if,an isolated slick spot on a bridge or overpass Wednesday night or Thursday morning can’t totally be ruled out. Having said that, the most likely scenario is little to no impact from this system beyond a cold, light rain or drizzle across our viewing area. Overnight lows Wednesday night generally hover right around the freezing mark, with some spots below and some spots above freezing.

THURSDAY: A lingering shower possible Thursday morning, then partly sunny. Highs in the mid 40s. Clear and cold overnight. Lows in the low 30s, below freezing area-wide.

FRI/SAT/SUN/MON: We warm up and stay dry to end this week and start next week. Highs in the 50s and 60s, with overnight lows in the mid to upper 30s.
