Clouds Build In Today; Rain Returns Wednesday.

TODAY: Cloud cover increasing through the morning becoming mostly cloudy in the afternoon. Breezy, with winds gusting out of the southeast up to 25 mph. Highs in the upper 40s and low 50s. Slight chance of a shower in the afternoon and evening, then scattered showers after midnight. Lows in the upper 40s.

WEDNESDAY: Widespread rain through the day as a cold front pushes through the area. High temperatures set in the mid to late morning in the upper 50s, then dropping in the afternoon. As temperatures drop in the evening, some light wintry mix will be possible. With temperatures dropping below freezing overnight, there could be a slick spot or two on a bridge or overpass. We’ll keep an eye on this system, but widespread impacts are unlikely.

THU/FRI: Partly cloudy to mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 40s Thursday, then low 40s Friday. Overnight lows in the mid to upper 20s.

SAT/SUN: Models have trended drier over the past few runs with the weekend system, but we will still include a slight chance of showers. With models being rather inconsistent with this system, be sure to check back on the forecast. Highs int he low 50s with lows in the low to mid 30s.

MONDAY: Dry and partly cloudy. Highs in the upper 50s.
