Cold Air Sticks Around. Heavy Rain Returns Later This Week.

TODAY: Cold and mostly sunny. Highs in the mid to upper 40s, with a northwest wind at 7-15 mph bringing wind chills into the 30s and low 40s. Mostly clear overnight, with lows dropping into the upper 20s with a light northwest wind.

WED/THU: High temperatures remain in the upper 40s and low 50s through mid week with sunny to mostly sunny skies. Northwest winds continue Wednesday, but winds shift out of the south on Thursday. Overnight lows Wednesday night drop into the 20s, but lows will remain well above freezing Thursday night in the upper 30s.

FRI/SAT/SUN: As a low pressure system hugs the gulf coast, we stay on the cool side of the system, meaning no severe weather here. Showers start Friday, with heavy rain looking likely Saturday. Showers continue into Sunday, perhaps lingering as late as Sunday evening. High temperatures will stay in the upper 40s and low 50s through the end of the week, with overnight lows in the 30s and 40s.

MONDAY: Finally drying off with partly cloudy skies on Monday. High temperatures in the upper 40s.
