Noxubee County S.O. looking for holiday weekend burglar

The suspect made away with a small amount of cash, running out the back door of the residence.

Almost a month after a West Point man dies in a house, police arrest his daughter in law and charge her with capital murder.

The shooting happened on Church Street in Shuqualak November 10th.

Deputies are not sure if the weapons belong to the men or if they were stolen.

Bond was set at $5,000.

Police say there were never any shots fired and no one was injured.

The Lowndes County Narcotics Task Force makes several arrests.

The arrests occurred on the 11th and 14th.

The warrant was issued for residential burglary of the Grove Apartments off of Lynn Lane.

Law enforcement and some educators are teaming up to reverse the trend.

Police were called by the alarm at New Horizons Church around 7 p.m.

The case will be adjudicated through Lee County Youth Court.

The victim was found at the scene and transported to NMMC where she later died.

According to police, the burglaries happened on the 4th, 9th, and 11th of December.

Police Chief Lucious Mason says other charges are possible in the ongoing investigation.
