Dry New Year’s Day, Rain Returns Wednesday

TONIGHT: Mainly cloudy overall with a few early evening showers lingering.  Temperatures through midnight should remain mainly in the 50s but overnight lows will tend to be in the 40s in most spots.

NEW YEAR’S DAY:  Look for variably cloudy conditions along with highs in the 50s.  Northerly winds continue between 5 and 10 mph.  The first day of 2019 will be MUCH warmer than what we experienced on the first day of 2018.

WEDNESDAY:  Clouds thicken as showers develop around the area.  The chance of rain is 80%. Highs may only be in the upper 40s.  Lows Wednesday night look to hover somewhere in the 40s.

THURSDAY:  Additional rain is likely with the chance at 90%.  Slightly milder highs in the low 50s are possible.  Rain is expected to continue Thursday night.

FRIDAY:  More showers are possible here with the heaviest activity during the morning hours.  Highs in the 50s may be reached early in the day.  Total rainfall between Wednesday and Friday may be 2-4″ or more.

WEEKEND:  Mostly sunny skies return along with seasonable highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s and overnight lows in the 30s.
