Dry Today; Torrential Rain and Flooding Through The Rest Of The Week.

TODAY: Partly cloudy and dry. Cool, with highs in the low 50s. North winds at 5-15 mph with some gusts up to 20 mph. Chilly overnight with lows in the 30s and a northeast wind at 5-10 mph under mostly cloudy skies. An isolated shower or two will be possible late overnight.

TUE/WED: Widespread heavy rain across the area with some embedded thunderstorms. Rainfall amounts may exceed 3 inches over the 2 day period. This amount of rain will likely lead to flash flooding and river/stream flooding issues. High temperatures in the 50s Tuesday and 60 Wednesday. Overnight lows in the upper 40s and low 50s Tuesday evening, but temperatures will climb through most of Tuesday night. Lows drop into the low 50s Wednesday night.

THURSDAY: Widespread rain, which could be heavy at times. An additional 1/2 to 1 1/2 inches of rain could fall, with locally higher amounts. Any additional rainfall could exacerbate and prolong any ongoing flooding issues in addition to creating new flooding. Highs in the upper 50s and low 60s. Lows in the low 50s.

FRI/SAT/SUN: Additional rainfall on the order of 1-3+ inches will be possible between Friday and Sunday. Some strong to severe storms will be possible Saturday afternoon and evening. This additional rainfall could exacerbate and prolong any ongoing flooding issues in addition to creating new flooding. High temperatures in the mid to upper 60s Friday and Sunday and low to mid 70s on Saturday. Lows in the 50s and 60s.
