Fairly Quiet Weekend, Still Watching Harvey

Watching Harvey

Watching Harvey

FRIDAY NIGHT:  Scattered high clouds will be drifting overhead but we’ll remain dry. Look for lows in the mid to upper 60s.

SATURDAY & SUNDAY:  A mix of clouds and sun is on tap both days.  Daytime highs should be in the mid to upper 80s with overnight lows in the mid to upper 60s.  We can’t rule out a stray shower or storm but not much moisture will be had in our neck of the woods.

NEXT WEEK:  The big wild card will be Harvey or its remnants.  The latest model data suggest the system will remain stalled along the Texas coast through Tuesday.  If this ends up being the case just low end shower/storm chances can be expected here Monday & Tuesday.  Solutions vary widely starting Wednesday and it’s really hard to tell what may happen.  It may rain itself out over Texas or the remnants could get picked up by an system in the Great Lakes which would allow for higher rain chances here Wednesday – Friday.  Right now it’s just a wait and see type game.  We’ll keep you updated with the latest during the weekend and next week.
