A.G.’s Office and Sheriffs Working Together to Keep Sex Offenders Off the Streets

CHICKASAW COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- Halloween could be a dangerous time for kids not because of darkness, but because of area sex offenders.

Sheriffs say they could be in your own neighborhood without even knowing it.

Although the unknown can be scary, we were informed of ways parents can make sure they know where sex offenders are.

And Attorney General, Jim Hood, has recently located some as well through a state wide sweep called operation Trick or Treat where he arrested 8 sex offenders for different reasons.

Hood discussed with us how these arrests relate to children safety on Halloween.
