Heavy Rain & Storms Possible Thursday

TUESDAY NIGHT: Partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected along with lows in the mid to low 40s. A few isolated shower are possible. ESE winds continue between 2 and 5 mph.

WEDNESDAY: Look for variably cloudy skies with just a slight chance of a stray shower or two. Highs should warm a bit into the low 60s. Southeasterly winds between 5 and 15 mph can be expected.

THURSDAY: A breezy day is on tap with southeasterly winds between 10 and 25 mph. Some showers are possible during the morning with heavier rain and some storms during the afternoon and evening. There remains a low end threat for some severe weather, mainly in the form of damaging wind gusts. The most unstable air with this system still looks like it’ll stay just to our south but we’ll continue to monitor it. Heavy rain is also a concern. Model data suggest anywhere between 1/2” to over 3” may fall across our area between Thursday and Friday morning.

FRIDAY: Some rain may linger during the morning but brighter skies should take over as the day wears on. Highs should remain in the 60s.

SATURDAY-TUESDAY: Several disturbances may roll through the region but they are hard to time out right now. We’re going to keep a daily chance of showers going but we’ll be adjusting the rain chances and the temperature forecast as the weekend approaches.
