Houlka Teacher To Face Due Process Hearing
HOUSTON, MS (WCBI) – A Chickasaw County teacher and coach will face a judge to determine if he will be charged with having inappropriate contact with a student. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation says it’s investigation of the claims against Houlka Attendance Center coach Bradley McDonald warrants a due process hearing. In the court documents,
Investigators say earlier this month McDonald touched or rubbed a 15 year old student. The hearing is needed before any formal charges are filed. If the judge determines the evidence is strong enough, McDonald would be charged after the hearing. Current plans call for the due process hearing to take place next week in Tippah County. That law was created to prevent parents or students from filing false claims against educators in order to seek revenge.
