Mild This Weekend, but Arctic Air On The Way…

FRIDAY:  It’s going to be a mostly sunny but chilly day. Look for highs to range from the mid 30s (north) to the mid 40s (south).  Northerly breezes between 5 and 15 mph will keep that winter chill going all day long.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy and quiet with lows in the mid 20s.  A few light flurries/sprinkles are possible, but no impacts will occur, and no accumulation will occur.

WEEKEND:  We’re expecting variably cloudy skies both Saturday and Sunday. There is a slight chance for a light shower or two but in general things look to be pretty quiet.  Highs will be around 50 Saturday with mid to upper 50s on Sunday.

MONDAY:  One last mild day appears to be on track. There is a good chance that highs may get into the low 60s under partly cloudy skies.  Showers appear likely by Monday Night, with an eventual transition to a wintry mix.

TUESDAY:  A strong cold front should pass on through the area during the morning hours. It will usher in significantly colder air and the chance of some snow.  We’re still 4 days away from this event but it certainly bears watching. Be sure to stay tuned for more information during the coming days.

WEDNESDAY – THURSDAY: Arctic cold air settles in.  We currently expect high in the 30s with lows in the teens.  That may change, pending on how far south the coldest air settles.  We’ll be monitoring.
