Jet Stream Next Week

FRIDAY NIGHT: Mainly clear conditions are likely during the evening but low clouds and fog will develop later on in the night.  Some fog may be locally dense.  Lows will be in the low 40s.

SATURDAY: Areas of low clouds and fog are possible in the morning with mostly sunny skies returning to the region as the day goes on. Look for highs in the mid 60s. Conditions look great for day #2 of the high school football championships in Oxford.

SUNDAY: We’ll close out the weekend on a mild note under a mix of sun and clouds. Highs should be in the upper 60s.

MONDAY: Unseasonably mild weather holds on for the start of the work week. Afternoon temperatures are expected to top out in the 70s. The Columbus Christmas parade in the evening should be OK.

TUESDAY: A strong cold front is forecast to push through our coverage area and the chance of rain is high at 80%. Any rain is welcome due to the dry conditions in place. Some storms are possible but the threat for widespread strong to severe activity continues to be low with this setup. Temperatures in the mid to upper 60s will continue ahead of the front with quickly falling temperatures behind the front.

WEDNESDAY – FRIDAY: Considerably colder air is forecast to settle into the Deep South. Highs may not even reach 50 with overnight lows in the low 30s and 20s. It’ll be a brisk end of the week for sure.
