TONIGHT: A quiet night is on tap with a mix of stars and some lingering clouds.  Areas of fog are also possible, especially in locations that had rain Thursday morning.  Lows fall back into the 40s.

FRIDAY: Look for a nice start to December with a mix of sun and clouds and highs in the mid 60s. Northeasterly breezes between 5 and 10 mph can be expected. Things look good all day and evening for day #1 of high school championship football in Oxford.

SATURDAY: Another pretty nice day should ensue. Highs stay in the mid 60s under variably cloudy skies. Day #2 of high school championship football in Oxford is going to be uneventful but jackets will be needed during the evening.

SUNDAY: Temperatures moderate back into the upper 60s during the afternoon. Fair skies will remain in place and it’ll be a good day to do some yard chores or to put up holiday decorations.

NEXT WEEK: A strong cold front is expected to push through sometime Tuesday or Wednesday. Highs in the 70s will be common before the front arrives but much cooler 50s and 40s are going to settle in behind the front. There is a good chance of shower and thunderstorm activity as the front moves through. Considering the drought conditions we have in place any rain is welcome.
