Nice Start To Thanksgiving Weekend

Egg Bowl Outlook

Egg Bowl Outlook

TONIGHT: Clear and chilly with lows around 30. Winds become light between 2 and 4 mph.

WEDNESDAY:  Early holiday travel is looking good all around the Southeast.  In our area we expect highs in the mid 50s along with plenty of sunshine.  Lows Wednesday night should feature lows down to around freezing for the 2nd night in a row.

THANKSGIVING DAY:  Another day of bountiful sunshine is on track for most of the region. Plan on slightly warmer highs around 60.  Clear and quiet weather is going to hold for the Egg Bowl in Oxford but temperatures will cool down into the 40s during the game.  Overnight lows Thursday  night should be in the upper 30s.

FRIDAY:  The first half of the day is looking dry but rain is on track to overspread the area by late afternoon and into the evening.  We suggest having wet weather gear ready to go for area high school playoff games.  Lows Friday night will be mainly in the 40s to around 50.

SATURDAY: Some lingering showers are possible during the morning but a dry day is expected overall with a mix of sun and clouds.  Highs may zoom well into the 60s.  Most if not all of the wet weather should be east of Tuscaloosa by the time the Iron Bowl kicks off.

SUNDAY:  We’re going to keep the chance of showers going as another system moves through the region.  Highs stay in the 60s.
