Nice Today; Storms Return Tomorrow.
TODAY: Sunny in the morning, with increasing clouds through the afternoon and evening. Highs in the low 70s. Southeast winds at 5-10 mph with gusts to around 15 mph. Mostly cloudy overnight, with lows in the upper 40s.
THURSDAY: Thunderstorms return to the forecast Thursday. High temperatures will be in the upper 60s and perhaps a few low 70s. Scattered clusters of storms, some of which could be strong to severe, will push through the area. Because this won’t be a line of storms, the chance for a storm to be strong or severe will exist through the afternoon and into the evening hours. The primary threat these storms will pose is large hail and straight line winds, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. Showers and storms will continue overnight. Lows in the upper 50s and low 60s.
FRI/SAT: Much warmer to round out the week, with highs in the upper 70s and low 80s. An isolated shower or storm is possible Friday, with a few more scattered showers and storms Saturday.
SUNDAY: Another round of strong to severe storms looks to be possible Sunday with highs in the upper 70s up to around 80. We’ll be fine tuning the forecast for Sunday over the next few days so stay tuned.
