Patchy Fog with More Rain During the Week

SUNDAY NIGHT: Look for mostly cloudy skies to last much of the night.  We also will have to watch for patchy fog during the overnight hours into the morning given the rain that just fell.

MONDAY: We’ll keep some showers in our area particularly for those south of US-82 towards Jackson and Meridian, but we should mix a little sunshine in spots during the day.  Look for highs in the mid 60s.

TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY: We expect showers to kick in yet again as another coastal low pressure system slides to our south.  It could also bring some heavier rainfall as it carries overnight Tuesday into Wednesday.  We can’t rule out a stronger storm either, but as of now heavy rain is likely in spots.  Look for highs in the low to mid 60s.

THURSDAY: Thursday may shape up to be the driest day of the week, but given this volatile pattern, that could change.  If we get ample sunshine, temperatures will climb into the upper 60s.

FRIDAY AND BEYOND: Friday should warm up again before we watch the cold front come in sometime Friday Afternoon into Saturday Morning.  Ahead of it, we’ll be warm.  Along it, look for showers and perhaps a few thunderstorms.  Behind it, temperatures drop like a rock bringing back in winter air with perhaps some lingering moisture.  This is part of a complex system which could bring travel impacts in time for the Christmas holiday across a large portion of the country.
