FRI/SAT/SUN: Weather still great on Friday and into the weekend. Highs in the low 80s under sunny skies. Overnight lows dropping into the upper 50s.

MON/TUE: As we start the work week next week, the weather remains fairly nice. Highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.

TROPICS: Irma continues to maintain Category 5 intensity this morning, with winds at 185 mph. Irma’s forecast track is still of high uncertainty beyond three days out, but interests along the Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina coast need to monitor Irma closely. Tropical Storm Jose has formed east of Irma, and is forecast to move on a northeasterly track. It’s still far too early to know what, if any impact Jose could have on the United States. Finally, a tropical depression in the far southwestern portion of the Gulf of Mexico has strengthened into Tropical Storm Katia this morning. Katia is forecast to swing back into Mexico, with no direct impact on the US.
