Quiet and cool as we begin the new workweek

SUMMARY: It’s going to be a pretty quiet workweek overall with our weather. High temperatures will be on the cool side in the 50s, then warming up into the 60s mid to late week. Rain chances will return Friday night into the weekend.

MONDAY: Aside from a few clouds in west Alabama this Monday morning, most of us are waking up to mostly clear conditions. You will need the jackets as you head out to work & school as it’s chilly in the 30s. We’ll see a mix of sunshine with a few clouds for your Monday afternoon. It will be a breezy & cool one with highs in the upper 40s to near 50, thanks to those NW winds 5-15, gusts up to 20 mph.

MONDAY NIGHT: Skies will clear up overnight. It will be a cold night ahead as overnight lows drop to the upper 20s with a light NW wind.

TUESDAY-THURSDAY: We’ll see lots of sunshine and clear blue skies through midweek. Highs will remain in the 50s for Tuesday, before warming back up into the 60s by Wednesday and Thursday as our winds will switch up to the SW. Overnight lows in the 30s to lower 40s.

FRIDAY-SUNDAY: Cloudy skies and rain chances will return to the region by Friday and into the weekend as our next cold front approaches us. Most of the day Friday looks to remain dry with a mix of sun & clouds, but showers are possible by the evening hours. We’ll likely see more rain chances on Saturday and maybe into early Sunday. High temperatures will remain in the 60s for Friday and Saturday. Cooler temperatures behind the front on Sunday with highs in the 50s. Overnight lows in the 30s.
