Rain Chances Through Sunday

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Areas of showers are likely along with a storm or two. Lows will drop only into the 50s.

THURSDAY: Some showers may linger during the first half of the day but odds of rain lower as time goes on. The overall chance of rain stands about 30%. Look for highs in the lower 60s but some locations across the northern part of the area may stay in the 50s. Northerly winds develop between 5 and 10 mph.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Mainly cloudy and cooler with lows in the 40s.

FRIDAY: We’re adjusting the high temperature forecast down into the upper 50s to lower 60s. More clouds than sun is expected along with a 30% chance of showers. Many spots probably will not see rain during the day.

SATURDAY: Temperatures should rebound back into the upper 60s with a continuing 30% chance of showers.

SUNDAY: Morning temperatures could peak well into the 60s before a cold front ushers in cooler 40s and 30s for the 2nd half of the day. Widespread rain is likely during the day. We can’t rule out some frozen precipitation late in the day or into the evening as cold air tries to catch up to the rain but current projections take most of the moisture out of our area before that occurs. It is certainly something we’ll keep watching. Lows Sunday night will be well down into the 20s.

EARLY NEXT WEEK: Canadian high pressure settles into the region. Lots of sunshine will be enjoyed but the trade off will be colder than average temperatures with highs in the 30s and 40s with overnight lows down to around 20.
