More Rain and Storms On The Way
SATURDAY NIGHT: Lingering showers will gradually fade after midnight but clouds are expected to hang on all night long. Look for lows generally in the low 60s.
SUNDAY: Morning clouds should give way to partly cloudy skies. Plan on a nice afternoon with highs around 80. Northwesterly winds will usher in a drier air mass as the afternoon wears on. Lows by Monday morning will return to the 50s.
MONDAY: Abundant sunshine gives way to highs in the middle to upper 80s in the region. Lows Monday night fall into the 60s. Look for winds generally to turn out of the south, helping to bring some gulf moisture back into the region by Monday Night.
TUESDAY: A few isolated showers and storms are possible as temperatures soar into the upper 80s. It’s not out of the question someone hits 90. Best chance for rain and storms appears to be on the I-55 corridor. We’ll call it partly cloudy area wide with a few storms possible.
WEDNESDAY – NEXT WEEKEND: An active weather pattern emerges with the expectation of more rain and storms. We may add 2-4″+ of rain across the region before the end of next weekend, with locally higher amounts possible. Some strong to severe storms also cannot be ruled out. Beset odds look to be on Thursday and Friday for that potential now. We’ll monitor things and fine-tune the forecast as we move forward.
Look for temperatures to in general be in the 80s with lows in the upper 60s to low 70s.
