Rain Tuesday. Cold Air Returns This Week.

TODAY: Mostly cloudy through the day, although I expect some sun to break through. Highs well above average in the low 70s. A few widely scattered showers possible, but most spots stay dry. A bit breezy, with winds out of the southeast at 10-15 mph. Quite warm overnight, with lows in the low 60s.

TUESDAY: Our cold front pushes through tomorrow, bringing with it widespread showers and perhaps a couple of thunderstorms. Rainfall amounts of 1/2 inch – 1 1/2 inches. Highs in the mid 60s. Rain ending overnight. Lows in the upper 30s.

WED/THU/FRI: There’s still some model disagreement as to just how cold things get to round out the week. For now, we’re going to go with highs around 50° Wednesday through Friday, with overnight lows dropping from the mid 30s Wednesday night to the upper 20s Friday night.

WEEKEND: A shortwave embedded within the overall trough helps drop our temps even more this weekend. High temperatures in the mid to upper 40s, with lows Sat. night in the mid 20s.
