More Rain On The Way

TONIGHT: We stay cloudy with more showers rolling in late, particularly in areas south and east of Columbus.  Look for temperatures to fall into the upper 30s and low 40s with north winds increasing to 10-20 mph with gusts locally higher by morning.

TUESDAY: More showers moves through during the morning hours, with areas north and west of the Natchez Trace trending a little drier.  Look for temperatures to only reach the low 40s, with temperatures by Tuesday Night falling into the low 30s and upper 20s.  Some clearing is expected by Tuesday Night, but we’re keeping it chilly with breezy north winds 10-20 mph with higher gusts.

WEDNESDAY: This has the best chance for an area-wide soaking again, with rain likely through the afternoon and evening as a cut-off low slides through.  We’ll stay on the warm side of it, although not far to our north and west, some winter mischief is expected in parts of Arkansas/Tennessee.  In our area, we’ll keep it a cold rain with highs in the low 40s and lows Wednesday Night falling into the mid 30s.

THURSDAY: Look for a few lingering showers particularly in the morning, but some sunshine will break through.  Still, temperatures are only in the upper 40s in the afternoon, with lows again in the 30s.

FRIDAY – WEEKEND: Sunshine and warmth returns, look for highs in the upper 50s to even mid 60s!  Lows at night will fall into the 30s as more seasonable weather settles in.
