More showers possible Friday

SUMMARY: Our next weather maker crosses the region Friday and it will give us lots of clouds and areas of rain, but the heaviest rain will stay to our east as the system moves up the East Coast. More rain and storms are possible Monday into Monday night and there could be some strong storms if the atmosphere can become unstable enough. It’s too early to tell if that will happen but we’ll watch it.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Clear, quiet, and calm. Lows in the upper 20s to around 30.

THURSDAY: Bright sunshine to start off the day with increasing clouds during the afternoon and evening. Highs in the mid 50s with SE winds 5-15 mph.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Mainly cloudy with a few showers possible. Lows in the 40s.

FRIDAY: Cloudy with a 40% chance of showers and rain. Highs in the low 50s.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Cloudy. A few showers are possible. Lows in the 40s.

SATURDAY: Lots of morning clouds followed by afternoon sunshine. Highs in the upper 50s. Lows in the 30s Saturday night.

SUNDAY: Variably cloudy and quiet. Highs near 60. A few isolated showers can’t be totally ruled out. Lows in the 40s Sunday night.

MONDAY: Warmer with daytime highs in the 60s. Rain and storms are looking more and more likely. There may be a few strong storms if the atmosphere can become unstable enough but it’s still too early to tell if that will be the case. Stay tuned for more details going forward.

TUESDAY-WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny and cooler. Highs the 40s to low 50s with lows in the 20s.
