Showery Thursday, Bigger System Saturday

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Clouds will spread from west to east across the area during the evening and overnight hours.  Showers are possible late.  Lows will range from the upper 30s near the Alabama border to the mid 40s along the I-55 corridor.

THURSDAY:  A mostly cloudy day is expected and there is a 50% chance of passing showers.  Rainfall amounts in the 0.10″ to 0.25″ may be just about it. Highs stay in the 50s. Look for southerly breezes between 5 and 15 mph.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Variably cloudy conditions return with overnight lows in the mid to low 40s.

FRIDAY: More clouds than sun are expected.  A few showers can’t be ruled out during the 2nd half of the day but rain chances should remain relatively low.   Highs in the upper 50s to around 60 still appear possible.

SATURDAY:  There is a 100% chance of rain and even a few storms.  Rainfall potential in the 1″ to 2″ range does exist so it’ll end up being a wetter system than the one Thursday.  Temperatures are expected to peak somewhere near the mid 60s but a significant cool down is going to occur by the evening hours.

SATURDAY NIGHT:  Blustery and cold conditions take over as strong NW winds return. Some lingering rain and snow showers are possible across the region but we still don’t anticipate any impacts at this time.  Temperatures will be down to around freezing or slightly below by sunrise Sunday.

SUNDAY: It’ll be blustery and cold all day long. Daytime highs are expected to be in the mid to upper 30s. Wind chills will be colder than that so be advised.  Skies should eventually become mostly clear and that will setup good viewing for the total lunar eclipse Sunday evening.
