Storm Chances Friday & Saturday

Saturday Storm Threat

Saturday Storm Threat

TONIGHT:  An isolated evening shower or storm is possible but most locations will remain quiet. Lows should be in the low 60s once again.

FRIDAY:  A 30% chance of showers and storms exists… mainly north of Tupelo and into West Tennessee.  Locations farther south may not see much if anything.  Highs in the low to mid 80s are likely along with a southwesterly breeze between 5 and 15 mph.

SATURDAY:  A batch of morning storms is possible mainly NW of the Natchez Trace while redevelopment is likely SE of the Natchez Trace by early afternoon.  The overall rain chance is about 50%. A few of the storms may be strong to severe with hail and damaging wind gusts.  While we can’t rule out an isolated tornado but the threat of that kind of activity is low with this particular setup.  Highs will range from the mid 70s to low 80s.

SUNDAY:  Much cooler air settles into the region.  Highs still are expected to max out only in the mid 60s under a mix of clouds and sun.

NEXT WEEK:  Highs will be in the 70s Monday but then we’re back into the 80s at least through Thursday.  Look for lots and lots of sun!
