Strong Storms Possible Today

TODAY: Scattered thunderstorms possible, especially in the afternoon and evening. Some storms could be strong to severe from mid morning into the evening hours. The main threat from this setup will be straight line winds and heavy downpours. Highs in the upper 80s, with heat index values in the mid 90s. Chance of rain 70%.

FRIDAY: High temperatures return to the low 90s, and more hit or miss storms possible in the afternoon. Heat index values in the upper 90s. Chance of rain 40%.

WEEKEND: Highs in the low 90s both Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Afternoon pop-up showers and storms possible each day. Heat index values will reach the upper 90s, with some spots hitting 100°+. Chance of rain both days around 30%.

NEXT WEEK: More scattered showers and storms on Monday with highs in the upper 80s. A weak front moves through Monday, and hopefully some drier air filters in behind that. High temperatures will remain in the low 90s Tuesday and Wednesday, but due to the drier air expected to filter in, rain chances are reduced to 20% on Tuesday, and we will keep rain chances off the board for Wednesday.
