Strong Storms Saturday; Cold Sunday.

TODAY: Mostly cloudy, with a high around 60°. Dry through the day, with isolated showers possible in the evening and overnight hours. Lows in the mid 50s.

SATURDAY: Storms develop in the pre-dawn hours of Saturday morning, and continue through the morning hours. Some storms could become strong to severe from 6 am to noon. Strong straight line winds is the primary threat, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.  High temperatures in the mid 60s. Temperatures begin to drop in the afternoon and evening behind a cold front. Lingering moisture Saturday evening along with the cold air could lead to a few isolated wintry mix or snow showers. Due to the warm, wet ground, accumulations are not anticipated and no impacts are in the forecast. Overnight lows in the upper 20s.

SUNDAY: Colder, with highs in the upper 30s under mostly sunny skies. Gusty northwest winds will keep wind chills at or below 32° through the day. Very cold overnight, with lows dropping into the teens and 20s.

MLK DAY: Sunny and warmer than Sunday, but still rather cool. Highs in the upper 40s. Overnight lows in the mid to upper 30s.

TUE/WED: More showers as another cold front approaches the region. Highs in the mid 50s Tuesday and low 40s Wednesday. Temperatures will dip back into the 20s Wednesday night.

THURSDAY: Drying back off, but some lingering clouds possible. Highs in the mid 40s.
