TODAY: Mostly sunny and warmer. Highs in the upper 60s. Winds east in the morning becoming south in the afternoon at 5-10 mph. Fair skies overnight. Lows in the 40s.

FRIDAY: Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms during the day, mainly in the afternoon, then widespread showers and storms overnight. A few storms could become strong to locally severe, but widespread severe weather is unlikely. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s and low 70s. Overnight temperatures will drop to the 40s.

WEEKEND: Rain showers continue into the morning hours on Saturday, then the rain lets up in the afternoon. A chilly Saturday in store, with highs in the 50s. A frost/freeze is likely across the area Saturday night. Warmer and more pleasant Sunday, with highs back in the 60s under mostly sunny skies. Lows Sunday drop into the upper 40s.

MON/TUE/WED:The first half of next week looks fairly tame weather-wise. A few isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible Monday, but the overall rain chance is low. We’ll stay sunny and pleasant Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs will be in the upper 60s to around 70° Monday through Wednesday, with lows in the 40s.
