Since 2000, the average high on Thanksgiving Day is 63.2 and the average low is 36.4.  Fourteen of the last 17 years featured highs in the 60s and 70s.  The warmest recent Thanksgiving was in 2010 when the high topped out at a balmy 77.  It can also be chilly.   A few years ago in 2013 the mercury dipped to 19 during the morning hours.  Much like Tupelo, just 3 days since 2000 have featured measurable rainfall with the highest total being 1.64″ in 2003.

Climatology says that we should experience highs in the low 60s on November 23rd with morning lows in the upper 30s to around 40.  The last 17 years is filled with extremes but the numbers average out to near normal values.  The fact that this year will be dry isn’t too much of a shock considering recent history but the 50s that are in the forecast will be an exception to the general rule of thumb. Late November can be quite active in this part of the world so lets all be thankful for no weather or travel worries this year.
