Unsettled Weekend Forecast

SUMMARY: Tropical moisture and a stalled front will keep rain and storm chances going during the weekend and early next week. A lot of the activity will be during the daytime heating with lower odds at night. Drier air and brighter skies may return by the end of next week.

FRIDAY NIGHT:  Most rain will fade away during the evening but some rain and t-showers could linger into the overnight hours. Low will be in the low 70s with light wind. Some fog is possible.

SATURDAY-SUNDAY: Scattered showers and storms are likely both days. We’re going to ballpark the chance in the 60-70% range with most coverage occurring during the heating of the day. Highs stay mainly in the 80s while lows remain in the low 70s.

NEXT WEEK: Additional showers and storms are possible through Wednesday. A cold front will usher in less humid air and more sunshine for the end of next week. Perhaps the 2nd week of high school football season will feature better weather than the first week. Slightly below normal temperatures are expected with highs staying mainly in the 80s. Lows in the 60s may return by Thursday and Friday.
