Warm end to the week, Saturday storms likely
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Clear and quiet with lows in the 40s. Light southerly winds between 0 and 5 mph.
THURSDAY: It’ll be sunny and a bit breezy with southerly winds between 10 and 15 mph. Highs should top out in the upper 70s and lower 80s. Thursday night won’t be as cool with lows only in the 50s.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy weather is going to continue. Southerly winds may be a touch stronger but highs should be in the lower 80s.
SATURDAY: There is nearly a 100% chance of rain and storms during the day. Recent computer model data suggest the heaviest activity may occur between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. but timing is going to be refined as we get closer. Strong to severe storms with hail, damaging wind gusts, and even isolated tornadoes can’t be ruled out in addition to 1-3” of rain. Be sure to stay tuned for additional details during the coming days.
SUNDAY: Much cooler air air is expected to surge into the region and it may be accompanied by a lot of low cloud cover. If that occurs then highs may be hard pressed to get out of the 50s.
NEXT WEEK: Monday and Tuesday look great with lots of sunshine. Plan on highs in the low 60s Monday with the 70s returning Tuesday. Overnight lows Sunday night and Monday night may be in the mid to upper 30s again.
