Very Warm Thursday, Cooler Friday & Saturday

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Clouds fill back in but rain chances will be minimal. The big story is going to be the mild temperatures. Overnights may only fall into the mid 60s which is about 10 degrees warmer than our average highs this time of year. Southerly winds between 5 and 15 mph continue.

THURSDAY: We’re going to enjoy an unseasonably warm February day with expected highs in the mid to upper 70s. Some new records may be established in the region. It’ll be breezy with SSW winds between 10 and 25 mph. The first half of the day should be be dry but shower chances return during the afternoon and continue into the evening. There may be a few rumbles of thunder as well but we don’t expect much in the way of active weather with the incoming cold front. Model data only suggest between 0.1” and 0.75” of rain so it doesn’t look like a soaking system for us by any means.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Showers will gradually taper off during the night as cold, dry air sweeps in from the NW. Lows by sunrise Friday are going to be in the 30s.

FRIDAY: Variably cloudy conditions are on track along with cooler temperatures. Afternoon highs may only be in the low to mid 40s but NW winds between 10 and 20 will make it feel a little colder than that.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Temperatures dip back into the upper 20s under partly cloudy skies.

WEEKEND: Seasonably cool weather is on track for Saturday. Plan on highs in the upper 40s with a decent amount of sunshine. Clouds increase a little on Sunday as temperatures moderate back into the 50s. We’re adding a 30% chance of showers for the 2nd part of the weekend.

EARLY NEXT WEEK: Rain chances continue through at least Tuesday. A few storms are possible as well. Highs warm back into the 60s with overnight lows getting back into the upper 40s and 50s.
