Warmer Weather, Rain Chances Return Later This Week.

TODAY: Another sunny and cool day across the area. Highs in the upper 50s with a light northwest wind. Clear and relatively calm conditions will again allow overnight lows to drop to around freezing.

THURSDAY: Sunny and much warmer. Highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Clouds begin to fill in overnight. Lows in the 40s.

FRIDAY: Scattered showers and thunderstorms likely. A few storms could be strong to locally severe with gusty winds and hail, mainly in the afternoon and evening. Highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Chance of rain around 50%. Scattered showers and storms remain possible overnight. Lows in the upper 50s.

WEEKEND: Warm weather continues into Saturday and Sunday, as do low end rain chances. A few widely scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible. Otherwise partly sunny and warm, with highs in the 70s, and overnight lows in the 50s. Rain chances around 30% Saturday, and 20% Sunday.

MON/TUE: More showers and storms possible Monday. Highs in the upper 70s, with the chance of rain around 40%. Lows overnight Monday drop to the 40s and 50s. Partly cloudy and cooler Tuesday, with highs in the mid 60s.
