LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — A Lowndes County man confronts three young theft suspects and holds them until deputies can arrived. H.L. Elmore was driving near his home on Highway 69 South when he spotted a pickup truck backed into the side yard of a vacant home at the corner of Gibson Street. Knowing the truck shouldn’t be there, he used his truck to block the other truck’s escape and then confronted the three teens he found apparently trying to either break into the home or take things from the yard. The man forced the teens to lie on the ground until deputies arrived and took them into custody. One of the teens apparently borrowed the pickup from his grandfather who later came to the scene to retrieve it. The suspects’ names or the charges against them have not yet been released.
