LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Authorities are on the lookout for suspects who vandalized a Lee County church early Monday morning.

Mud Creek Missionary Baptist Church Pastor H.B. Sadler says someone apparently shot out a window in the front of the building, leaving pieces of glass in the foyer.

Also, there were tire tracks in the church’s parking lot, and a sign was also damaged.

Pastor Sadler says he hopes those who are responsible will come forward and admit their wrongdoing. He has a message for whomever is responsible.

“If I would talk to them I would offer them Jesus, because if a person is saved they would not be doing this, no doubt about, it is a heart problem,” Sadler said of the vandals’ spiritual lapse.

Sadler says vandals have targeted the church frequently, though this is the worst case so far.
