VICKSBURG, Miss. (WCBI) — All the world is a stage for local actors. Tupelo Community Theater will take their production of “The Santaland Diaries” to the Southeastern Theater Conference in Mobile in March.

The play took home Best Production, Best Set and Best Actor nod for Todd Barnett at the state level.

Maddy Monson received a Best Actress nod for her work in “Collected Stories” with the Starkville Community Theater, along with All Star Cast awards for Mary Kay Belant of Starkville, David Trotter of the Tennessee Williams Tribute and Stephen Garrett of the Tallahatchie River Players.

The Tennessee Williams Tribute also won best in overall technical excellence.

S-E-T-C brings community theater actors along with high school hopefuls together once a year for a juried competition.
