Eighteen U.S. volcanoes pose “very high threat”

New research from the U.S. Geological Society looks at the potential risks from 161 volcanoes in the country. The most dangerous is Hawaii’s Kilauea, the Big Island volcano that’s been erupting this year. Lava has destroyed about 600 homes so far. Time Warner Center in New York evacuated for 2nd time in false alarm

The FBI has said more pipe bombs may be out there, but false alarms have led to confusion. Ten pipe bombs were sent to critics of President Trump this week. Senate Judiciary chair seeks investigation into Michael Avenatti and client

Attorney Michael Avenatti and one of his clients could face a criminal investigation stemming from the Brett Kavanaugh Supreme Court confirmation.
