They believe the unidentified person could have been in the store when $5,000 worth of stogies were swiped.

Police said it happened on Court, Tournament, and Broad Streets and at the Hampton Inn.

The 42-year-old Ridgeland resident was formerly Clarksdale-area president of Southern Bancorp Bank, which is based in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.

Good timing led Monroe County deputies to an accused thief.

Prosecutors said the alleged incident happened last August at a home on North Long Street.
